These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of MojiHako (“the Site”), including the Japanese text tools and related services provided on the Site. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms set forth the conditions and procedures for using the services provided by MojiHako (“the Site”), as well as the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users and the service provider.

Updated Terms will be posted on this page at least 7 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Site after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may stop using the Service.

The Site provides online tools for Japanese text work, including full-width and half-width conversion, hiragana and katakana conversion, kana input assistance, genkō yōshi preview, Japanese era conversion, and kaomoji copying.

5. Use of the Service

The Site is provided free of charge and does not require user registration or login. The main text conversion functions of the Site run locally in your browser. Text entered into the tools is not sent to the Site’s server for conversion processing.

6. Changes and interruption of service

The Site may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service for maintenance, improvements, error correction, operational needs, third-party service changes, or other reasons. The Site does not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Unless otherwise stated, the design, logo, text, code, data structure, and other materials on the Site belong to the Site or their respective rights holders. You may use the Site for personal and ordinary practical use.

If a separate license is displayed in a public repository or other source, that license will apply to the relevant materials.

In particular, when using the Site for important materials such as names, place names, addresses, company names, official submissions, contracts, or administrative documents, you should verify both the original text and the processed result yourself. Use of the Site is at your own discretion and risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Site will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site.

The Site and its output are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The Site makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Service or its results.

Conversion results, genkō yōshi page counts, Japanese era conversion results, and character input results are provided for convenience only. Genkō yōshi page counts and document length may vary depending on the editor, font, line spacing, margins, and submission requirements. Japanese era conversion results should be verified separately before being used in official documents.

The Site may use third-party advertising, analytics, hosting, security, or related services, including Google AdSense and Google Analytics, to support operation and improvement. These services may process cookies, advertising identifiers, anonymous or non-personal statistical information, and other technical information. Information processed by third-party services is governed by the terms and privacy policies of those providers. External links included on the Site are also governed by the terms and policies of the linked websites.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.

Any lawsuit arising from or relating to the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the service provider’s address, unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.
